Brogan Meyers: Artisans Reflection

Coming back from a long winter break, I was greatly excited to see my bud and mentee Cameron. We started off this second semester with a women’s basketball game outing. It was great to see the looks on people’s faces as mentees and mentors reunited. Cam and I had a great time catching up about the time that we had missed. He is pretty high functioning and was thrilled to tell me about the Seahawks gear he received for Christmas and a brand new bowling ball (we are big fans of Wii bowling so this was big news). Working with and getting to know Cameron has given me a chance to grow. It is so uplifting and reassuring to see the positive impact that I, along with my fellow Knights and Setons have on others.

Being a member of Knights has helped me grow spiritually and socially on campus. Not only do I get to know 60 well-rounded individuals, but I get to be part of something greater than myself. Finding one’s purpose in life is a central part of college life and Knights has pushed me to branch out and be a part of something bigger than myself. This organization has such an understated yet amazing impact on the local community and I am extremely proud to be a member of such a fine group of young men.
